A honey settling tank, also known as a honey ripener, is a piece of equipment used to process honey.

Working Principle:

• The working principle of a honey settling tank with a strainer is similar to that of a regular honey settling tank.
• However, it also includes a strainer to remove larger particles and impurities before the honey is poured into the tank. The strainer is made of stainless steel or nylon, that catches any debris that may have been missed during the earlier processing steps.
• The tank itself is made of stainless steel and is equipped with a valve at the bottom to allow the impurities to be drained out.

• The honey is poured through the strainer and into the tank, where it is left to settle for a period of time, typically 24-48 hours. During this time, the impurities will sink to the bottom, leaving the clear honey on top.
• Once the settling process is complete, the honey can be drained from the tank through a valve at the top of the tank, leaving the impurities behind. The honey can then be further filtered using a finer mesh filter to remove any remaining particles before being bottled for consumption.
